Normative Time to Degree: Students can complete all of the course work requirements within five to six quarters. Master's degree students typically fulfill either the thesis or capstone requirement in two to three years (six to nine academic quarters).
Joining a Lab: Master's students are not required to complete rotations through multiple research labs, but must determine which lab they will join. Students are allowed to start directly in an identified lab.
