Bio

Research Interests:

My current research program focuses on understanding the mechanisms of drug resistance and progression in lethal prostate cancer with specialized focus on drug development for the treatment of prostate cancer. I have interests in nuclear receptors, chaperone protein modification, ubiquitin proteasome regulation, pharmacokinetics & pharmacodynamic (PK/PD), steroid hormone biosynthesis and metabolism, clinical translational research and tumor immunology.

Research Summary:

I have been involved in cancer research for over 10 years. My research program focuses on understanding the mechanisms of next generation anti-androgen resistance with specialized focus on drug development for the treatment of prostate cancer. Cumulatively my background in clinical medicine, oncology and urology has tailored my research to be unique, with applications such as better drug targeting and overcoming drug resistant in prostate cancer treatment. I have extensive experiences in clinical translational research, especially in prostate cancer treatment, including drug development, clinical trial design, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics research, drug resistant mechanisms, protein post translational modification and patient derived xenograft tumor model establishment experiences. My future research work will uncover the mechanisms of drug resistance in Urologic Oncology diseases and develop new pharmaceutical approaches to resensitize drug resistant cancer to effective therapies.
