Research Summary:

Dr. Newman is analytical biochemist with extensive experience in trace organic multi-residue analyses, quantitative method development, data quality assessment and quality control, and the investigations of vascular inflammation, hypertension, and obesity. The current thrust of research in the laboratory is the development and implementation of quantitative metabolic profiling and metabolomic analyses for phenotyping nutritionally responsive metabolism in pre-diabetes, along with efforts to understand the biochemical consequences of omega-3 fatty acid consumption.
